Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is popularly known as the blue city. It is called so because of uncountable blue painted houses here. The city is located in the largest desert of India, Thar. And is abode of majestic forts and vibrant culture. 

Why Jodhpur became the blue city?


There are a few theories circulating about how and why Jodhpur became the blue city. One of them is that the blue colour keeps the house during extensive heat of the summer.
